Rose Park Oasis

In early 2026, Cook Studios was commissioned to assist in the planning of an outdoor space for a modest residence in Rose Park. The homeowners have outlined a concise list of desired enhancements, encompassing a fire pit and hammocks. Following a site visit to gain a comprehensive understanding of the spaces and the relationship between the home and its surroundings, the design process commenced.

Building upon the existing site and landscape assets, the design encourages users to venture beyond the current deck and traverse a deck pathway that descends into a conversation space featuring a fire pit. Adjacent to this space is the garage, whose walls could be adorned with a mural. Positioned between the garage and a small shed lies a tranquil area that includes a suspended rope platform illuminated by festoon lighting, providing a space for relaxation and social interaction.

Through meticulous removal of existing vegetation, the remaining yard is envisioned to transform into a native grass meadow, eventually encompassing a grove of Scotch Pine. Strategically placed Hammocks will be incorporated into this grove, enhancing the area’s appeal for leisure..
